My First Blog

Never in a million years did I think I would actually blog, never mind have my on blog website.. However, this class requires me to, so here it is....

So for my very first blog, I've decided to write about the iPhone 4 for Verizon. So as a Verizon customer, I have always anxiously waited for the iPhone to be released for Verizon. For the past two years, I've heard rumors and people say of how the iPhone will be coming to Verizon very shortly, and to my disappointment, it never has.. UNTIL (about a month or two ago), when Apple announced that the iPhone would be available to Verizon carriers starting February 10th, 2011, and the pre order date was set to February 3rd, 2011 starting 3:00 am. To make sure I would finally hold in my hand my very own iPhone, I waited till 3 am of that night to pre order the iPhone (the phone that allows you to do basically anything you want). After spending $239 dollars on the phone, I waited everyday and night for the shipment of my phone to arrive, which was scheduled to be delivered on 2/7/11. Upon receiving the phone however, I was worried that the phone would not meet my expectations. Mainly because I purchased the Blackberry Storm right when it came out and was announced as, "The first touch screen Blackberry", and I till this day regret purchasing that phone. Instead of the Blackberry Storm, they should have called it the Blackberry Freeze, for the numerous times a day that phone has froze on me (and if you have a blackberry, you are aware that the phone take 5+ mintues to restart).
So when February 7th finally came, I anxiously waited for the arrival of the iPhone. After finally receiving the  iphone, I quickly did everything I can to set it up and transfer all my contacts following the instructions. When I for the first time felt as if I made the perfect purchase with my complaints, BOOM!, Verizon has once again failed to satisfy my purchase. To make the long story short, I spent over two hours (about an hour of the damn elevator music they play when they put me on hold)  talking to verizon and apple customer services on why my contacts wouldnt transfer, after I followed the step by step instructions that was given to me by Verizon. And after all that, they told me that Apple is experiencing problems with the contact transfers for the Verizon iPhone, and that I would have to wait until the problem is fixed. For the next two hours, I manually put in all the contacts I had on my blackberry to my new iPhone (needless to say, I probably messed up on 25% of the phone numbers).
I guess the whole point of this blog is to let out my anger and frustration of how Verizon has yet once again disappointed me. But, after the contacts were all manually put it, the phone is amazing!!!!
